GALOSHES GALLOP

GALOSHES GALLOP

Sunday, April 25th meet at the Gazebo at Minto Brown Park in Salem off of River Road at 12 noon for registration. Walk /run begins at 1:00. The course runs about a mile along trails in the park. People from the Work Unlimited Adolescent Program will be stationed along the trail to give you tickets for each of the following; wearing your decorated rubber boots, singing or playing a kazoo as you pass the person, matching your team or family members, or throwing in a galoshes dance step. You will have multiple chances to get tickets, which you can use to bid on items at the 2:30 live auction. This is a very family friendly fundraiser to benefit the children served by Work Unlimited. Registration for the Galoshes Gallop is $10 for an individual, $20 for a family (no matter how remotely related) and $25 for a team. The course will be on the trail going north from the Gazebo, taking the first right (east) past the old orchard, right again (south) on the dirt road and one more right (west) past the dog park, back to the Gazebo. You will be provided with a piece of bright ribbon to wear on your person to identify you as a contributor. Come have some fun and let us thank you.

No galoshes? No problem! You can still earn lots of tickets with your kazoo, dance step or song. Those tickets will come in handy when you want to bid on gift cards, professional photography session for your family, baskets of toys, etc. Very cool prizes will be auctioned at the 2:30 live auction. So even if you don't have boots, you can still come and have a great time.
